The Christmas Holiday season is coming up fast for us here in Kansas City. Should you keep your home in Kansas City on the market or not? Many are asking this question. It really is a personal choice in the long run, but it can spell disaster if you do take it off the market.

Of course the Christmas holiday season is a very busy time most people. You may be shopping, attending end of year school events, holiday parties and so forth.

Buyers, sellers and Kansas City real estate agents are also busy. Who wants to work hard during the holidays? No, one does, right. This is the time to sit back and relax. That is all understandable. So, you can take it your home off the market, right? There is no law against it. 

But consider one thing. The real estate market is slow right now and the economy is not in great shape either. You understand this as that has a lot to do with why you are selling your home, right?

But what if, there is someone out there that is ready to buy as soon as they see a home like yours. You have just missed out because you didn’t want to be bothered with showing the home during the holidays.

Statistics show that there is a rise in Kansas City home sales during the holidays because people do have time off from work and have the time to look at homes. Spring home buyers start during the holiday season. Many Kansas City real estate agents say the holidays are their busiest time.

And, what better time for your home to be shown off in it’s best possible light. With all the holiday decorations and such, this will portray a hominess that home buyers will like. They will be able to picture themselves living in your house.

You don’t actually have to worry about hanging around for potential home buyers. You can leave everything up to your Kansas City real estate agent. They will take care of everything for you, leaving you free to shop till you drop.

You also don’t have to worry about having to move during the holidays. You can always set you closing date for after the holidays and bowl season. So, you see there really is nothing stopping you from continuing with your holiday season. After all, your home certainly won’t sell if you take it off the market.
