According to Charity Navigator, Kansas City is the #5 most charity-conscious city in America. 


The ranking is not based on a per-capita amount of charitable giving by individuals. It is based on the financial health of nonprofits in the 30 largest U.S. cities. The organization looks at the day-to-day operations; as well as, the ability of the nonprofit to sustain programs over a long period of time.
