An accident involving an overturned gasoline tanker truck in Olathe, Kansas closed U.S. 169 at 151st Street late afternoon, yesterday.
The exit from southbound I-35 to 169 remained closed past 9:00 p.m.
Olathe, KS. firefighters covered the spilled gasoline with a special foam and prevented it from igniting, the department said. It wasn’t clear how much gasoline leaked, but a nearby Waffle House and Chili’s restaurant were evacuated as a precaution.
Nobody was seriously injured, police said.
