The population is exploding in Gardner, Kansas - City of Gardner needs to start looking to build a new high school

According to recent demographics, there will be a need for the City of Gardner to start looking at plans to build a new high school. The population of 15-17 will most likely double in the next 10 years. With that size of enrollment, I don't think the current high school will be able to hold that capacity.

For the next 10 years, the class sizes will increase. The demographics does not take in affect people relocating to Gardner, which could nearly triple the estimates.

  1. I wonder is Gardner residents are ready to "pay" for a new High School? After seeing how much money has been spent on schools in the Blue Valley School District over the last 10 to 15 years, I'll have to say that new schools aren't cheap....here come the tax increases.
