Olathe, Kansas City Council approves 2011 budget with no tax increase - Yeah!

The Olathe, Kansas City Council approved a 2011 budget tonight that cuts general fund spending by 4.8 percent in an effort to hold the line on city taxes.

Sure there will be programs cut and jobs lost, but with the current economy, doesn't it make sense to buckle up and cut spending. When the economy turns and it will the lost programs can be reinstalled.
