The San Diego Chargers have decided not to tender a contract to Sproles, a speedy running back from Olathe North and Kansas State, allowing him to test the free-agent market, a person with knowledge of the situation said Friday.
The Chargers haven’t made an official announcement.
The move came four days after the team released Tomlinson, who ranks eighth on the all-time rushing list with 12,490 yards.
If the Chargers wanted to keep Sproles, they’d have to make him an offer of about $7.3 million.

I'm not sure if the Kansas City Chiefs have it in their budget to acquire Sproles. When Sproles visited Arrowhead he always got huge cheers even in the uniform of the Chargers. It would be nice to get Sproles back to the midwest.
Anyone working at Arrowhead working on this?
