Median Real Estate List Prices -The nationwide median list price for single family homes, condos, townhomes and co-ops (SFH/CTHCOPS) was $189,900 in March 2012, up from $188,000 in February 2012 and 5.56% higher compared to a year ago.  At the same time last year—the beginning of the 2011 home buying season–the median national list price was $179,900, 4.81% below the median list price in March 2010.  While higher list prices don’t always translate into higher sales prices, they can signal a growing optimism on the part of sellers about their local market conditions and buyer demand.
