Answer: That is odd you emailed me that question on my website, Ed. I was just reading a couple articles about kids hosting rave parties in vacant million dollar luxury homes.
In one such party a 5 million dollar vacant home served as the location for a rave party for 400 kids in San Diego. The police department got tipped off by neighbors. I have heard that there have been at least 3 big rave parties in San Diego recently.
In another rave party in a multi-million dollar vacant home police raided the party with helicopters. Police found illegal drugs, prescription drugs, and alcohol. There was even a DJ and other entertainment paid by a host.
I haven't heard of any rave parties at vacant million dollar luxury homes in Kansas City this year, but the season for high school kids to start celebrating graduation is just starting. Over the years I have heard of kids having huge parties in vacant homes in Kansas City. Even luxury homes in nice subdivisions.
I have read a few articles that the rave parties have hit the coast. I'm hearing that local police are preparing for rave parties in local homes. As residents, you can do your part by watching over vacant homes. When a vacant home is badly vandalized, the devaluation of the home will hurt all homeowners in the subdivision.
For more information, you might contact local police.
RE/MAX sells more homes than any other real estate company.
For a reason...should we talk?
