Housing Predictor analysts submit that Kansas City, Kansas will likely top the list of real estate appreciation in 2012, thanks in part to a strong local economy being buoyed by high prices for local crops. The website also suggests a rebound to the tune of 5.8 percent price growth over the coming year. Rounding out the top ten best markets are a number of midwestern locales, where the housing boom was more muted in effect, and high affordability (as well as recovering employment) are attracting newcomers:
