Selling Your Kansas City Home? Staging is Important - Curb Appeal is Key

Selling a Kansas City home, especially in today's competitive real estate market, requires sellers to "go the extra mile" and ensure their Kansas City  home really stands out against all the other Kansas City homes for sale. 

We're all heard how powerful first impressions can be. Remember when you first met your significant other? They looked hot right?

First impressions are especially important when selling your Kansas City home. We know that "curb appeal" is king. Most online buyers will not look at the other pictures or read about the home if the front picture doesn't impress them. Potential home buyers may also drive by a home of interest. The curb appeal of the home needs to impress the potential buyer. It is vitally important to catch the potential home buyer's interest... even before home buyer walks inside.

Here are a few things to consider when putting your Kansas City home on the market:

- Clean the oil stains off the driveway
- Put the garbage cans behind the gate or in the garage
- Park your cars in the garage or away from the house
- Mow the lawn, edge the lawn and trim the bushes and other landscaping
- Plant some colorful flowers around the walkway
- Add colorful flowers around the front door
- Pick the weeds around the landscaping
- Clean out the gutters
- Add gutter extensions
- Wash the front of the home
- Put the toys and other "stuff" in the backyard
