Romeo Crennel Should be #1 on the Kansas City Chiefs Head Coaching List

What a victory for the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday. With numerous starters gone, including the quarterback and the head coach fired, a massacre was almost predictable.

The KC Chiefs replaced Todd Haley with defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel. Romeo was in the running for the head coaching job. After yesterdays mastery and dismantling of previous unbeaten Green Bay Packers, Romeo may be in the leading candidate. Don't you agree?

Here are some areas the Kansas City Chiefs need to focus on after a 19-14 home victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday:

Biggest area to fix the Kansas City Chiefs: The KC Chiefs actually could have won this game by 21 points. but they had to settle for four field goals. Although they were just 1-for-5 in the red zone, It didn’t burn the Chiefs yesterday. More production is needed and I think another week with the Chiefs and Kyle Orton maybe more productive.

Biggest area to build on for the Kansas City Chiefs: The KC Chiefs controlled the best offense in the NFL yesterday. According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Chiefs attacked Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers with a stacked secondary. They used at least five defensive backs on 86 percent of the Packers’ plays Sunday. Rodgers completed 48.4 of his passes Sunday in those situations.

What to watch for with the Kansas City Chiefs: Kyle Orton had a nice thing going with his teammates in his first start with the Chiefs. He should be more comfortable Saturday against visiting the Oakland Raiders. Being from Denver, Kyle knows how much the Raiders are hated. Who could have guessed two months ago Orton would be starting for the Chiefs and Carson Palmer would be starting for the Raiders in this game?

Bottom-line for the Kansas City Chiefs:  They are not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

Lets go Chiefs!
