Olathe School District board members learned recently that the $5.4 million dollar Technical Education Center planned to be on the Olathe North High School campus will break ground by the summer of 2012.
The Technical Education Center will be a 35,600 square foot one story building. It will house a state-of-the-art shop for students to learn welding, auto technology and auto collision.
The new Technical Education Center will be a drastic change from the current Millcreek Center, which includes a former school and metal shed in downtown Olathe.
