Answer: If you are truly trying to sell your Kansas City home and not just list it for sale while you still ocupy it, then I would suggest removing ALL decor that doesn't enhance the ability to market your home. The decor will play a major role in marketing your home to prospective home buyers. By some anti-controversy staging by decluttering and removing potentially offensive decor and artwork. Items like bud light posters in the living room, deer antlers in the family room and a ping pong table in the dining room will turn most potential home buyers off. These type of decor issues send a potential buyer running the wrong message and cloud up their emotional appeal to your home.
If you want to go a step further and reach more potential home buyers stage your home to grab home buyers. Remove gold door knobs and replace with platinum colored, remove gold light fixtures and replace with updated platinum fixtures and paint walls a neutral color.
