These are indeed all useful tools but perhaps the biggest, and most useful is number 15. To be honest, this is worth a post on it's own!
ReplyDeleteGoogle is clearly focussing on the local search market and Places now gets top billing on most local searches - for competitive niches the whole of the front page of Google can be dominated by the places profiles. As a local business anywhere, including KC, you should be making the most of this resource. It is free and very powerful. It is also a place to gather testimonials and tell people about your specializations etc. Paying attention to this is VERY important for most small businesses looking to serve the KC market. Social proof is increasingly important to Google as referenced by their latest initiative......
+1. On searches now you will start to see a "+1" by search results. When you are signed in to your Google account you will see it. When you click on it, this is the equivalent of "liking" a Facebook page. Local businesses should pay attention to this too as I am pretty sure it will start to play into the search algorythms.
