East Olathe, Kansas sees Spike in Sales Price and the Number of Homes Sold

What is this talk about slow sales in real estate? Most of Olathe hasn't seen slow sales. If we look at the East side of Olathe, ( Olathe, east of I-35 or in zip code 66062) you will see some dramatic increases.

On the East side of Olathe the average sales price increased from $231,800 in the first quarter of this year to $237,200 during the second quarter of this year.

The spike was also seen in the number of homes sold. The number of homes sold in the first quarter of this year was 178 homes compared to 418 homes in the second quarter of this year.

Real estate sales seemed to increase after the tax credit ended and the rush of home buyers seemed to push up the values of homes on the east side of Olathe.
