My wife and I suffered a foreclosure on our Olathe home almost 4 years ago. We have saved up $15,000, but haven’t had a chance to rebuild our credit. We are tired of renting and are looking to buy a home in Gardner, Kansas.

Question: My wife and I suffered a foreclosure on our Olathe home almost 4 years ago. We have saved up $15,000, but haven’t had a chance to rebuild our credit. We are tired of renting and are looking to buy a home in Gardner, Kansas. We are hoping to buy in the $100,000 to $150,000 price range. We make $57,000 a year. Would a loan be possible?

Answer: You need to speak with a mortgage banker to answer this question. Credit scores are important for mortgage loans. If your credit is still “bad” I suggest you start immediately working on repairing your credit scores. A mortgage professional will best be able to guide you through the process. Since you will be looking to buy a home in Gardner, I would suggest contacting a mortgage banker who specializes with the USDA Rural Development loan. If you need a referral on a great USDA specialist, lets talk. I have some great mortgage bankers I can suggest. Once you get pre-approved for a mortgage loan you can start looking for a home in Gardner!

RE/MAX sells more homes than any other real estate company.
For a reason...should we talk?
