Do I Get A Clear Title When I Buy A Kansas City Foreclosure Home?

Q: Do I Get A Clear Title When I Buy A Kansas City Foreclosure Home?

A: Yes, when the bank puts a Kansas City foreclosure property on the market, the bank typically has already cleared title. Clearing title is one of the main reasons why foreclosure homes sit vacant and take so long to get on the real estate market. During the clearing the title process, the bank, hires a local title company to do a title search. When the items are found during the title search, the title company and bank work to remove unpaid liens, judgments and loans that have not been removed during the foreclosure process.  Foreclosure home buyers should not worry about any potential problems. For an added safety measure, a buyer's mortgage lender will require title insurance to protect them and the foreclosure home buyer.
