Olathe spokesman Tim Danneberg said the program is run by the Olathe Housing Services Division and will use federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program dollars to purchase the houses.
The city will take applications from families interested in renting or purchasing homes. The city said qualified applicants must meet income guidelines.
The guidelines of the programs state 25 percent of families in the program must have income of less than 50 percent of the metropolitan area average income, and the remaining families must have income less than 120 percent of the median. Besides meeting income guidelines, families interested in being involved in the program are required to attend a home owner training program and pass a criminal, credit and background investigation."
Seems like a great housing.
