2009 national champ's sister is heading to the National Spelling Bee after winning the Olathe Spelling Bee

Sister of 2009 national champ wins Olathe Spelling Bee and a shot at the title - KansasCity.com: "Vanya Shivashankar, 8, won the 2010 Olathe Spelling Bee today and will compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.

The third-grader from Regency Place Elementary School is the younger sister of Kavya Shivashankar from Olathe, who won the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee."
