In the City of Olathe, Kansas, it is estimated that there are nearly 75 telecommunication towers. Some blend in with the landscape and others are an eye sore to the community. With more telecommunication towers popping up in the future, the City of Olathe City Council is reviewing the policy.
The Olathe City Council is considering making a regulation that all telecommunication towers blend in with the Olathe environment. Many companies who own the towers say the cost to convert or change is to expensive.
